Novel Coronavirus: 23 airports in Italy closed until March 25th

To contain the spread of the epidemic, only the stops essential for business and healthcare travel will remain open.

As of Saturday 14 March, 23 Italian airports will close until 25 March. The decision comes following the decrees of the Italian government to limit the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic. The airports involved include Milan Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio airports, as well as Rome Ciampino which will remain operational only for institutional and emergency flights. The list of the main airports that will close in addition to Linate and Bergamo is as follows:

  • Alghero
  • Brindisi
  • Comiso
  • Florence
  • Olbia
  • Perugia
  • Reggio Calabria
  • Rimini
  • Trapani
  • Treviso
  • Trieste
  • Verona
